Activities Aide (Required every weekend)

As an Activities Aide at Accela Rehab and Care Center at Somerton, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families. Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, organizing, and leading recreational and leisure activities for our patients, focusing on their interests, abilities, and psychosocial needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized activity plans that promote patient engagement, socialization, and overall well-being
• Provide direct care to patients, including escorting, lifting, transferring, and assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Maintain accurate records of patient participation, progress, and feedback
• Establish and maintain a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable environment for patients and staff

Requirements

• Ability to work flexible part-time hours, including weekends (10:30 AM – 5:30 PM)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients, as required
• High school diploma or equivalent education
