About the role
The Activities Aide delivers and leads life enrichment programs every day. The Activities Aide works specifically with the Memory Care unit.
Responsibilities
- Earn starting wages of $14.75 per hour with Hero Pay ($0.85 per hour)
- Assist and lead group and one-on-one life enrichment programs
- Encourage attendance and transport to and from life enrichment programs
- Evaluate patients according to their background, life enrichment interests, abilities, physical limitations, and needs for meaningful programs
- Develop and display thematic and holiday decorations throughout the facility
Requirements
- 1+ year of related experience in long-term care preferred
- Affiliates in Music or Recreational Therapy is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering excellent, passionate, innovative care
- You are a team player, dedicated to supporting your team members and getting the job done
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of memory care principles and practices
