Active Treatment Technician -CSU
About the role
Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources is seeking Active Treatment Technician positions at their Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) in Gulfport, MS. The position works under the supervision of a registered nurse and assists consumers according to treatment plans.
Responsibilities
- Accepts emergency/crisis calls.
- Responds to front-line first responder needs via telephone.
- Triages calls according to intensity, service needs, critical timing, and assignment of staff.
- Assists residents in all areas of physical care and hygiene of patients.
- Documents client behaviors observed during shift and charts into Electronic Medical Records.
- Participates in activities for clients.
- Prepares, gives, and participates in instructional training.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Behavioral healthcare preferred.
- Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record required.
- Demonstrates good interpersonal skills necessary to deal tactfully and effectively with people in crisis situations.
- Demonstrates ability to accept direction and responsibility for the care of consumers under treatment for psychiatric disorders.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must have a Bachelor's degree and be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills necessary to deal tactfully and effectively with people in crisis situations.
