Active Treatment Technician
Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources is actively seeking to fill Active Treatment Technician positions at our Lamar Diversion Center in Purvis, MS. This role works under the general supervision of a registered nurse while assisting consumers according to treatment plans, playing a fundamental role in direct consumer care and providing a safe and therapeutic environment.
About the role
CSU is a 24-hour facility with positions available for all shifts. Weekends and holidays are required. For 50 years, Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources has served individuals throughout the Pine Belt, enabling adults with serious mental illnesses, children with serious emotional disturbances, and individuals with an addiction or developmental disability to live, work, learn, and participate fully in their communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required (behavioral healthcare preferred)
- Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record
- Demonstrates good interpersonal skills necessary to deal tactfully and effectively with people in crisis situations
- Demonstrates ability to accept direction and responsibility for the care of consumers under treatment for psychiatric disorders
Responsibilities
- Accepts emergency/crisis calls and responds to front-line first responder needs via telephone
- Triages calls according to intensity, service needs, critical timing, and assignment of staff
- Assists residents in all areas of physical care and hygiene of patients
- Documents client behaviors observed during shift and charts into Electronic Medical Records
- Participates in activities for clients
- Prepares, gives, and participates in instructional training
