Active Living Center Nutrition Project Specialist

Full time with full benefit package

Works under the direction of the Center Director

• Provides general supervision to kitchen personnel, drivers and volunteers
• Works with Director to prepare monthly menus
• Submits proposed menus to local and state agencies
• Supervises and coordinates food production and delivery for congregate and home delivered meals

Responsible for

• Ensuring that all Utah Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to
• Overseeing and performing the preparation, cooking and serving of food to senior center patrons
• Utilizes recipes to determine required ingredients and their quality

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Driver License
• Must be a high school graduate or equivalent
• Must have 2 years of experience with above related duties or an equivalent of education and experience
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
• Must possess a Utah State Food Handlers permit or have the ability to obtain within one (1) month from the date of hire
• Required to be CPR and First Aid Certified or have the ability to get certified
• Must be "Serv Safe" Certified or have the ability to become certified immediately after date of hire
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
