Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service to residents and team members by achieving the standards outlined in the MG CARES program
• Assist with planning, coordinating, and participating in a variety of social events/outings to provide a vibrant and active community life for residents
• Engage residents, families, and the external community in activities and volunteer opportunities that promote socialization, expand personal interests, increase physical activity, and continue education
• Track resident activity participation and work with the Assisted Living Program Director to adjust calendar events accordingly
• Stay abreast of active aging and generational trends to enhance the community program; create and share relevant best practices with community staff and Active Living Program Directors
• Assist with developing community communications, such as activities calendars, for residents, families, and prospective residents
• Transport and/or accompany residents to and from outside activities, shopping trips, and appointments in community vehicles
• Set up and clean up activities (e.g., moving furniture, setting up tables and chairs)
• Acknowledge residents’ special days (e.g., anniversaries and birthdays)
• Conduct tours of the community when necessary
• Participate in and attend all in-service training and education programs as scheduled
• Assist with ordering and managing supplies for all activities
• Take responsibility for vehicle inspection as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School diploma required; college degree or equivalent preferred
• One to two years of related experience, training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Class B Driver’s License with passenger endorsement
• Preference for social activity involvement
• Senior living experience preferred

Physical Requirements

This role involves frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 75 lbs), and assisting with resident care. Regular bending, reaching, and physical movement are required throughout the workday.
