Activity Assistant

About the role

The Life Enrichment Activities Assistant supports the Life Enrichment Director in designing, creating, initiating, facilitating, and implementing a wide variety of multi‑level meaningful recreational and educational programs for Independent Living (IL) and Assisted Living (AL) neighborhoods.

Responsibilities

• Supporting and assisting the Life Enrichment Director in designing, creating, initiating, facilitating, and implementing a wide variety of multi‑level meaningful recreational and educational programs for Independent Living (IL) and Assisted Living (AL) neighborhoods.
• Assisting with developing, planning, and implementing a monthly program of activities and supplies based on the dimensions of wellness (Movement & Motion, Curiosity & Culture, Feelings & Fellowship, Clarity & Purpose, Compassion & Connection, Leadership & Volunteerism) Harmony signature programs and person‑centered interests.
• Leading 6‑7 high quality programs per day.
• Assisting in surveying and interviewing residents to complete the Resident Life Profile and to determine their past and present interests and talents as well as their satisfaction with the community’s programs and activities.
• Partnering and coordinating with the entire program team (i.e., LED, HSD, & HS assistant) to complete planning forms, organize supplies, plan calendars, events, and outings for the upcoming month.
• Developing relationships and connections with residents and families to encourage participation in programs and events
