About the role
The Advanced Care Team Clinician (CRT, RRT, RN, LPN) plays a crucial role in providing clinical insights, education, and support to DASCO and/or CPAP Central (CPC) patients. They also educate patients and caregivers about the safe and appropriate use of home respiratory and other equipment.
Responsibilities
- Educate patients/family/caregivers via phone calls, Telehealth Visits, and in-person sessions, covering topics like diagnosis, personal care, symptom recognition, equipment usage, and care.
- Follow up daily with patients, conduct NIV follow-ups, and make phone calls as needed.
- Set up and visit patients for NIV, participate in on-call shifts as necessary.
- Create and oversee care plans, communicate with physicians or other clinicians, and resolve patient care issues when possible.
- Maintain knowledge of DASCO equipment and services, assist with quality control, and support clinical outcomes team operations.
- Explain insurance benefits, coverage, and patient costs to patients and caregivers.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, The Joint Commission, state respiratory care board, state pharmacy board, and other applicable rules and regulations.
- Maintain professional licensure or certification requirements, including CEU compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Professional licensure or certification as a CRT, RRT, RN, or LPN.
- Six months’ experience in a clinical services role.
- Prioritize communication proficiency, compliance, customer service, empathy, stress management, and physical demands suitable for the role.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Six months’ experience in healthcare/medical/insurance/DME customer service roles preferred.

Position Type & Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, operating Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with some travel required for continuing education or other meetings at the corporate office.
Physical Demands
- Frequent sitting and standing.
- Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling.
- Frequent lifting and moving up to 10 pounds, occasionally lifting and moving up to 50 pounds.
- Standard office equipment use.
Travel
Some travel is required for this position, including occasional overnight travel for continuing education or other meetings at the corporate office.
