ACQUISITION LEAD- FLRAA

About the role
The Acquisition Lead supports the Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) Project Management Office (PMO), CPE Aviation, and PAE Maneuver Air at Redstone Arsenal, AL. This position is contingent upon task order award and serves as the primary advisor and leader for acquisition-related activities, assisting government personnel by developing acquisition strategies and preparing briefings for program and Army leadership. The role reports to the FLRAA Program Manager.
Responsibilities
- Provide project management support.
- Prepare contract modification packages and write/review contract letters.
- Refine requirements and coordinate with program stakeholders.
- Provide expert analysis on performance and risk.
- Deliver contractual support and perform other acquisition lifecycle duties for a complex ACAT I aviation development program in the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) minimum; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of twenty-five (25) years of total experience with at least fifteen (15) years of DoD/DoW acquisition experience.
- Demonstrated experience in acquisition strategy development, leadership briefing preparation, contract modification package preparation, contract letter writing/review, requirements refinement, stakeholder coordination, and performance/risk analysis for complex ACAT I aviation development programs.
- Resume must document full dates of each employment (month/year to month/year or month/year to present), position title, and organization/employer.
- Active Secret security clearance.
Qualifications
- Highly Desired:
- Direct FLRAA, FVL, or CPE Aviation (formerly PEO Aviation) portfolio experience.
- DAWIA Practitioner or Advanced certification in Program Management or Contracting.
- Experience supporting program re-baselining events, Should-Cost reviews, Schedule Risk Assessments (SRA), and EVM analysis (SPI/CPI).
- Experience preparing decision briefings for PEO, PAE, or Army Acquisition Executive level leadership.
- Current PMP certification.
- Systems Studies and Simulation experience.
