Acquisition Analyst (Intermediate) - THAAD
Brief Description
SABG is hiring an Acquisition Analyst Intermediate to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) TH organization with development and analysis of programmatic data for program management support, to include monitoring and reporting against the acquisition program baselines, to include assistance with program oversight and execution briefings, development and execution of acquisition strategies/plans, contract requirements packages (e.g., writing SOWs, CDRLs, special provisions, source selection evaluation plans) and supporting prime contract monitoring/management activities.
About the Role
This position provides interpretation and support execution of MDA Acquisition policy, directives, guidance, and instructions. It involves collecting and analyzing cost performance data reports, identifying cost, schedule, and performance trends, preparing reports and graphs to present status to IPT and senior managers. It also includes assisting with planning and execution of Integrated Baseline Reviews and joint surveillance reviews, preparing briefings and correspondence in response to internal taskings and external RFIs, analyzing acquisition requirements, and providing recommendations. Support program and contract management processes through the preparation and/or review of acquisition and program management documentation, briefings, white papers, reports, metrics. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide interpretation and support execution of MDA Acquisition policy, directives, guidance, and instructions.
- Collect and analyze cost performance data reports; identify cost, schedule, and performance trends; prepare reports and graphs to present status to IPT and senior managers.
- Aid in planning and execution of Integrated Baseline Reviews and joint surveillance reviews.
- Prepare briefings and correspondence in response to internal taskings and external RFIs (e.g., GAO/Congressional/DoDIG/DoD oversight organizations).
- Analyze acquisition requirements and provide recommendations.
- Support program and contract management processes through the preparation and/or review of acquisition and program management documentation, briefings, white papers, reports, metrics.
Qualifications
- Capable of comprehending acquisition management/programmatic analysis to support stakeholder requirements.
- Has specialized relevant knowledge and works as a member of the team and assists with solving complex problems.
- Advanced level working knowledge, skills, and abilities using Microsoft Office.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5+ years’ experience in the DoD system acquisition life cycle desirable.
- Prior MDA experience preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in acquisition, procurement, and contracting highly desirable.
- Skills in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.
- Proficiency in a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and database (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
