ACE Success Coach - Academic Support & Access Programs

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive advisement and support services to an assigned group of students through degree completion.
• Review student academic progress and track student use of academic support services.
• Conduct regular outreach to faculty and other college staff as needed to support student success.
• Maintain accurate tracking data and detailed notes for each assigned student, identifying appropriate referrals and opportunity programs as needed.
• Support annual recruitment efforts for new students entering the ACE program.
• Organize and support periodic special events and programs for students, faculty and staff.
• Conduct or support delivery of student seminars on issues of importance to students.

Requirements

• Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, education, or a related field. Experience working with students in higher education or a similar setting. Strong organization and public speaking skills. Ability to enter, monitor and interpret student data accurately.
• PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work or a related field. Experience serving as an academic advisor or counselor in Higher Education. Experience working with underrepresented students in higher education or a similar setting. Strong understanding of the needs of first-year and transfer college students. Experience working well with faculty and administration. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office, and aptitude to learn new systems as needed. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Bilingual preferred.
