Accounts Receivables Specialist

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you'll manage the full billing and project setup lifecycle for Innovative Solutions — from invoice preparation and daily collection calls to project setup in Sage Intacct and Datto. You'll own the day-to-day AR operations across billing, reporting, and reconciliations, while supporting revenue and month-end close functions. What You’ll Do Prepare invoice exports and ensure invoices are accurately generated and deliveredGenerating new invoices and submitting them for payment via payment portalRun aging reports daily and make collection calls on outstanding receivablesUpdate the Senior Revenue Accountant and Director of Accounting daily on collections progress and escalate delinquent accounts as neededReview the AR inbox and set up all projects in Sage Intacct and DattoManage the AR Inbox and respond to customer inquires Manage project changes including updates to dates, active contracts, and other project parametersKeep milestone dates updated based on communication from Project ManagersRun invoice, aging, and backlog reports daily to monitor financial healthPerform general ledger entries and customer reconciliationsAssist with accounting projects, audits, or other related tasks and responsibilities as assigned How You'll Be Successful: Impeccable attention to detail and enormously high standards for accuracyCollaborative team player, highly coachable, and open to feedbackHighly adaptive and accepting of constant changeEager to find efficient ways to improve processes and workflowsTech-savy, with the strong motivation to learn new systems Required Skills Experience with Accounts Receivable requiredHigh degree of proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, spreadsheets, etc.) Preferred Associate’s degree in accounting or a similar fieldPrior collections experience Experience with accounting software ( Sage Intact) preferredExceptional problem-solving skillsUncompromised integritySelf-motivation, with strong drive and ambition We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information.
