Accounts Receivable & Used Inventory Accounting Clerk

Job Title: Accounts Receivable & Used Inventory Accounting Clerk Location: Jim Glover Auto Family Job Type: Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable & Used Inventory Accounting Clerk to join our dealership team. This dual role manages all incoming customer and wholesale payments while accurately tracking and costing our used vehicle inventory. You will play a critical role in keeping our cash flow strong and our vehicle ledger up to date. Key Responsibilities Accounts Receivable: Post daily cash, checks, and credit card payments from vehicle sales, parts, and service departments. Collections & Aging: Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue customer or wholesale accounts. Inventory Invoicing: Post purchased used car inventory into the accounting system from auctions, trade-ins, and street purchases. Vehicle Costing: Track reconditioning costs, transport fees, and internal repair orders to calculate accurate total costs for used vehicles. Reconciliation: Balance daily receipts, prepare bank deposits, and reconcile inventory and AR schedules monthly. Schedules & Titles: Maintain clean general ledger schedules and assist with tracking titles for used vehicle inventory. Qualifications & Skills Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of accounts receivable or general accounting experience. Industry Knowledge: Prior automotive dealership experience is strongly preferred. Core Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong data entry accuracy, and excellent communication skills for resolving billing disputes.
