Accounts Receivable Supervisor

About the role

A growing manufacturing organization in the Farmingdale area is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Supervisor to own its day-to-day Accounts Receivable operation. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who can supervise an Accounts Receivable Specialist while remaining directly involved with billing, collections, cash application, reconciliations, aging analysis, and customer-account resolution.

Responsibilities

• Oversee customer invoicing, collections, cash application, and reconciliations
• Supervise, train, and assign work to an Accounts Receivable Specialist
• Monitor aging reports and drive the collection of past-due balances
• Resolve billing discrepancies, deductions, short payments, and customer issues
• Maintain accurate Accounts Receivable records, documentation, and internal controls
• Partner with Customer Service and Finance to resolve account concerns
• Assist with cash forecasting, working-capital analysis, and KPI reporting
• Identify process improvements and strengthen Accounts Receivable workflows

Requirements

• Five or more years of Accounts Receivable or accounting experience
• Previous manufacturing industry experience
• Accounts Receivable supervisory or team-lead experience
• Hands-on ERP system experience
• Strong collections, invoicing, cash-application, and reconciliation experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Ability to work onsite in the Farmingdale area

Schedule

• Monday–Thursday: 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Friday: 8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
