About the role

Labcorp is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist within the Revenue Cycle Management Division to join our team. This role involves posting accounts receivable and electronic/manual remittance from private and government payers into the billing system. Posting requires the use of multiple reports, macros, and tools to balance files to money received.

Responsibilities

  • Process/post AR from all assigned payers within the expected Turnaround Time (TAT).
  • Use macros and other computer-based tools across multiple systems.
  • Manage time and tasks independently while maintaining productivity.
  • Research payer websites to obtain posting backup.
  • Identify issues and trends with assigned payers.
  • Ensure aged AR is handled according to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
  • Communicate with leadership and partner teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of remittance.
  • Remain flexible to ever-changing priorities.
  • Meet weekly and monthly production goals after training.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1 year or more of insurance/claims/cash posting/accounts receivable/remittance work experience.
  • 1 year or more of experience with Explanation of Benefits (EOB).
  • 1 year or more of medical or healthcare experience.
  • 1 year or more of Excel experience.
  • High-level internet speed (50 mbps) connectivity.
  • Dedicated work-from-home space.
  • Ability to focus on work uninterrupted for long periods of time.
  • Strong attention to detail and structured work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year or more of electronic/manual remittance experience.
  • 1 year or more of experience with private and government payers.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM–6:00 PM EST.

Pay

Pay Range: $17.75 – $21.00 per hour. All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills, prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
