Responsibilities

• Ensuring timely receipt of payments from insurance providers
• Identifying and proposing solutions for payment and denial trends
• Performing accounts receivable follow-up and collections, including submitting replacement claims and appeals
• Communicating with insurance representatives and handling payer calls to resolve claim processing issues
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of assigned payer processes and updating documentation as needed
• Leading monthly meetings for assigned payer groups
• Serving as the subject matter expert and team resource for assigned payers
• Assisting with month-end processes including write-offs, AR cleanup, and review of unapplied funds

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• 6 months of experience with health insurance, including payment application and claiming processes required
• Experience with Microsoft Suite
• Experience with Cerner Millenium is a plus
• Strong analytical and customer service skills
• Able to work in a team environment
• Able to provide close attention to detail

Pay

This position starts at an hourly rate of $20.75-$21.75. Compensation adjustments are evaluated annually.

Schedule

This position is full-time, with flexible daytime hours from Monday – Friday.
