Accounts Receivable Specialist

About the role

Vaco Indianapolis has partnered with a client on the NE side of Indianapolis to find an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity based in the office.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with customers and the sales team to resolve outstanding payments on aged accounts and maintain minimal past-due balances.
• Accurately post and reconcile customer payments within the accounting system.
• Process and apply customer rebates, deductions, credits, and other account adjustments with precision.
• Research, investigate, and resolve customer disputes, rebate claims, deductions, and customer portal discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Proactively gather and evaluate relevant information regarding customer activities, including returns (RMAs), rebates, disputes, and other account-related matters to ensure accountability and compliance with established business processes.
• Conduct weekly reviews of customer portals to verify invoice processing status, identify potential issues, and monitor new deductions or adjustments initiated by customers.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
