About the role

This highly motivated individual, as part of the Finance Department, will be responsible for managing the collection of payments, processing invoices, and maintaining financial records to ensure timely cash flow for the organization. This position communicates closely with customer service and the sales departments.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains customer accounts for timely payments and ensures follow-up on past due invoices.
  • Processes daily ACH, Wire, Credit Card payment postings and non-receivable cash transactions to customer’s account.
  • Reviews RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) credits issued.
  • Prepares and analyzes accounts receivable reports for management and sales review to include aging report and collection metrics.
  • Sets up and manages customer credit applications including research into credit worthiness.
  • Supports Sales and Marketing with rebate programs.
  • Travels to local bank branches for check posting from international customers or errors with bank check scanner.
  • Assumes responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by Assistant Controller or Company management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of one year experience.
  • Three years of experience using spreadsheet and word processing programs.
  • Ability to read English, analyze financial reports and legal documents.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals and government reports.
  • Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
  • Successfully establishes employment eligibility and satisfactorily completes background checks and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.

Qualifications

  • Must have Microsoft Dynamics (D365) experience (preferred).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
