Accounts Receivable Specialist

About the role

We're searching for a full-time Cash Application Specialist who will be responsible for accurately posting daily cash receipts, matching customer remittances to payments, researching payment discrepancies, and supporting audit requests. This role works closely with Finance and customers to ensure cash is applied timely and accurately, documentation is maintained, and billing-related tasks are completed in accordance with company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Post daily Cash Receipts (70%)
  • Pull banking details
  • Pull, match, and save customer remittances
  • Send daily cash report
• Cash Application Research (10%)
  • Pull and research multiple remits for customer duplicate payments
  • Initial contact with customers regarding duplicate payments or remits as needed
• Assist with Audit Requests, Billings, and Other Duties as needed (20%)
  • Pull corresponding payment, remits, and banking logs
  • Support billing and other duties

Requirements

• Experience: 3+ years
• Education: Associate degree with related business acumen
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Research and analytical skills
  • Self-sufficient and problem-solving mindset
  • Attention to detail and time management traits
  • Intermediate+ knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook/Excel)
  • Billing experience is a plus
