About the role
Maine Public Employees Retirement System (MainePERS) is seeking an Employer Reporting Business Leader.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of professionals.
- Provide day-to-day supervision, performance management, and ongoing staff support.
- Set clear expectations and monitor performance to ensure quality, accuracy, and timely results.
- Serve as the primary resource for staff and management on employer reporting processes, policies, and applicable laws.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Communicate complex technical and legal information to staff, clients, and stakeholders.
- Develop, maintain, and improve policies, procedures, workflows, and training materials.
- Lead team meetings, individual coaching sessions, and special projects.
- Collaborate across departments to resolve complex issues and improve business processes.

Qualifications
- Associate degree in a related field and at least five (5) years of supervisory or team leadership experience demonstrating success in leading and developing staff; OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
