Accounts Receivable/ Payable Clerk (Onsite: Mon-Fri,8am - 5pm)

About the role

We are seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our financial team. This role supports all aspects of accounts receivables and payables, playing a crucial role in maintaining the company's financial health.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily check deposits;
  • Accept and process credit card transactions;
  • Apply cash transactions, and funding from banks or leasing companies accurately to customer accounts;
  • Research discrepancies and communicate with the customer or other internal departments to resolve issues;
  • Answer internal and external customer calls and emails, providing resolution or escalating issues;
  • Utilize extensive Excel spreadsheets to analyze and prepare data for uploads and reporting to ERM system;
  • Weekly review and focus on AR aged accounts to determine and support collection efforts;
  • Work with multiple departments to ensure clarity in communication and resolution for the customer account;
  • May assist with month-end and year-end processes;
  • May assist in preparing and recording asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries;
  • May assist in preparing and presenting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports;
  • May assist in maintaining and balancing GL accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies;
  • Act as AP/AR and admin support to functional leaders;
  • Prior background in office technology or a related industry is preferred.

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance/Accounting/Business Management with 2+ years of related hands-on experience;
  • Excellent understanding of accounting principles;
  • Excellent Excel skills;
  • Ability to deliver results within assigned targets and deadlines;
  • Demonstrated ability to take on new tasks;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Ability to take initiative, establish priorities, and take ownership of work;
  • Ability to research and analyze data;
  • Proficient in Excel (creating templates, creating formulas, filtering, etc.);
  • Outstanding organizational and project management skills;
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple tasks/projects successfully;
  • Self-sufficient;
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced, changing environment;
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Positive, can-do attitude with the ability to build positive working relationships with a wide variety of individuals and management.
