Job Summary
The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for overseeing the billing and collections processes to ensure timely and accurate receipt of payments, enforce credit policies, and collaborate with internal departments to resolve outstanding balances.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire accounts receivable process, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliation.
- Billing processes, ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- Review and approve customer credit applications.
- Aid Credit Manager with lien and bond filing processes.
- Maintain accounts receivable aging reports to follow up on overdue accounts.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, clients, and subcontractors to resolve billing and payment issues.
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable transactions.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy in the AR process.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to AR.
- Aid with annual financial and back audits.
- Train and supervise accounts receivable staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field or equivalent experience in construction.
- Strong knowledge of AIA billing and construction contracts preferred but not required.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
