Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist
About the role
The Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist will lead in driving up success with collection efforts on past due subscription accounts receivables and invoices. This role requires post-customer payments by recording various transactions, applying payments to invoices in Salesforce CRM system, managing customer vendor forms, and ensuring prompt compliance form and documentation submission. Additionally, this position involves entering specific client and sales data into Salesforce and invoicing clients according to contract terms and requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead collection efforts on past due subscription accounts receivables and invoices.
- Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, wires, and credit card transactions.
- Apply customer payments to invoices in Salesforce CRM system.
- Manage Politico customer vendor forms and online vendor portal submissions with full and complete accuracy.
- Complete business required compliance forms and documentation promptly to ease business transactions.
- Enter all specific client and sales data into Salesforce and invoice clients in accordance with the contract terms and requirements to receive timely payments.
- Able to write professional business emails and communicate clearly with customers.
- Verify and resolve account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from Sales, Invoicing, Collections records, and through customer outreach, when necessary.
- Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Respond to complex invoice inquiries, customer complaints, and process transactions of payment as required to meet customer expectations.
- Able to communicate technical issues and requirements to the technology team for updating and improving CRM workflows and workstreams.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should possess a B.A./B.S. in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, along with 2+ years of relevant work experience. Strong initiative and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment are crucial. The candidate must also be able to think clearly, reach well-founded conclusions, and articulate ideas concisely. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential, as is the ability to work under tight timelines and prioritize work as needed.
Qualifications
- Preferred experience with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Excel, Salesforce, Certinia, Workday, and database applications.
- Comfortable working with new Generative AI tools to find new solutions to common problems and identify tasks and workflows that can be automated.
Skills
Fluency in interacting with Generative AI LLM tools and writing effective prompts to find business solutions is a plus.
