About the role
As the Accounts Receivable and Billing Operations Manager, you will oversee the entire accounts receivable and billing process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, collections, and customer communications. You will also manage the billing system, handle disputes, and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams.Responsibilities
- Oversee the accounts receivable and billing processes to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the billing system, including setting up new accounts, updating account statuses, and generating reports.
- Handle customer inquiries and disputes related to billing and collections.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth operations and high client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with finance and IT departments to identify and implement process improvements.
- Ensure all billing activities are conducted in accordance with industry standards and legal requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounts receivable and billing operations, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Experience with billing systems and software, such as Epic, Cerner, or similar.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and internal teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and other healthcare compliance standards.
- Experience with medical coding and reimbursement processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
