PAY RATE
$27.01 - $28.43 Per Hour

Job Summary And Purpose
- Processes invoices for payment
- Prepares the voucher package, selects invoices for payment
- Prepares and processes weekly payments, via checks, credit cards, ACH, as directed
- Maintains related files
- Communicates with program personnel and vendors to reconcile problem invoices
- Manages assigned vendor accounts
- Maintains deadlines for available credits, timely processes and posts current invoices
- Avoids past due payment through diligent efforts
- Coordinates with program personnel and vendors to reconcile discrepancies on purchases and payable documents
- Aids in adjusting journal entry input
- Aids in the training of new accounting personnel to VOALA accounting practices and procedures
- Performs other duties as required to meet department mission, as Directed by Accounts Payable Manager
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Reports to the office
- Codes and matches invoices to receiving documents and purchase orders
- Reviews documents for accuracy, data entry in accounting system; makes timely payments
- Manages assigned accounts: meets deadlines and timely processes invoices
- Coordinates with program personnel and vendors to reconcile discrepancies on purchases and payable documents
- Aids in adjusting journal entry input
- Aids in the training of new accounting personnel to VOALA accounting practices and procedures
- Performs other duties as required and may be subject to change
MANDATED REPORTER
All employees are considered Mandated Reporters and must report any instance of physical or sexual abuse to proper authorities.
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance, background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications
- Ability to perform under circumstances of possible emotional stress and conflicts dealing with difficult, uncooperative, and potentially aggressive clients
- Must be able to serve the neediest of the needy in our programs which may include clients with homelessness, mental-illness, substance abuse, recently released from incarceration and other challenges
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma (or GED/High School Equivalence Certificate)
- 2 years of AP Experience OR Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting or related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
An Accounting Degree.
