Accounts Payable Specialist
About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our accounting team. This role is responsible for the full cycle accounts payable process across multiple affiliated companies, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and timely while maintaining strong vendor relationships and supporting month end close activities.
What You'll Do
- Manage the full-cycle Accounts Payable process, including invoice review, coding, approvals, and payment processing.
- Maintain vendor files, including W-9 collection and setup of new vendors.
- Prepares annual 1099 preparation and reporting.
- Processes weekly payment runs and ensures timely vendor payments.
- Prepare month-end reconciliations and AP reporting.
- Administer the Coupa purchasing system and support purchase order workflows.
- Review and process expense reports.
- Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to information requests.
What We're Looking For
- An AA/BA with 1-2 years of experience, or 3-5 years of AP experience with no degree.
- Experience processing a high volume of invoices with strong attention to detail.
- Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with accounting software; QuickBooks experience is a plus.
- Experience with Coupa or similar purchasing systems is preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and adapt in a dynamic environment.
