- Position Overview
Accounts Payable Specialist
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of Accounts Payable, Accounting, or Bookkeeping experience preferred. Hospitality, resort, hotel, or property management accounting experience is a plus. Experience with ERP or accounting software systems preferred. Experience with DooAP and Craftable a plus.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and accounting principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry files or office materials up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and electronically.
- Ability to navigate between property buildings and climb flights of stairs.
Work Environment
A professional office environment within a resort setting, shared office space with other accountants, on-site at South Seas. Hours Required: Standard business hours: 40 hours per week with occasional overtime during month-end, year-end, audits, or special projects.
