Position Summary

Odyssey Systems is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist at its Corporate Headquarters in Wakefield, MA. The role supports the Accounting and Finance team by managing employee travel expenses, subcontractor and consultant travel invoices, and vendor invoices.

Responsibilities

  • Review and process employee travel and business expense reports in Emburse Expense System.
  • Communicate with employees for travel expense report support.
  • Review and process subcontractor and consultant travel invoices.
  • Prepare vendor invoices, review for proper account coding and approval.
  • Enter approved vendor vouchers into the accounting system.
  • Maintain Accounts Payable electronic files.

Qualifications

  • Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
  • Education: Bachelor's or Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or business
  • Years of Experience: At least two (2) years of experience in an accounting or finance role
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Office skills, and experience with accounting software
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills
  • Accounting Principles: Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, analytical skills, and demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Interpersonal Skills: Professional demeanor, ability to work independently, prioritize work, meet deadlines, multitask, collaborate, and build positive relationships

  • Location: Wakefield, MA
  • Travel: None
  • Remote, Onsite, or Hybrid: Full-time onsite during onboarding, orientation, and training. Hybrid upon completion of job-required training.
