Accounts Payable Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Perform accounting and clerical tasks for the maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and communicate with retail locations and merchandising department.
  • Promote Family Farm and Home mission statement and family values.
  • Reconcile monthly vendor statements.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies associated with the processing of purchase orders and invoices.
  • Review and assemble invoices for payment.
  • Obtain and verify necessary information/data for invoice payments.
  • Verify and calculate all extensions and totals on invoices, applying discounts when applicable.
  • Respond to vendor inquiries.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the accounting department.

Requirements

  • Prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Show organization with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Have broad computer skills, including proficiency in online database systems and Microsoft Windows environments.
  • Show a strong work ethic and be a team player, requiring minimal supervision.
  • Show strong communication skills.
  • Two years of related work experience or a degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
