Responsibilities
- Perform accounting and clerical tasks for the maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and communicate with retail locations and merchandising department.
- Promote Family Farm and Home mission statement and family values.
- Reconcile monthly vendor statements.
- Research and resolve discrepancies associated with the processing of purchase orders and invoices.
- Review and assemble invoices for payment.
- Obtain and verify necessary information/data for invoice payments.
- Verify and calculate all extensions and totals on invoices, applying discounts when applicable.
- Respond to vendor inquiries.
- Perform other duties as needed to support the accounting department.
Requirements
- Prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Show organization with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Have broad computer skills, including proficiency in online database systems and Microsoft Windows environments.
- Show a strong work ethic and be a team player, requiring minimal supervision.
- Show strong communication skills.
- Two years of related work experience or a degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
