This role will work onsite at ZincFive headquarters in Tualatin, Oregon and report to the Shared Services Supervisor.
About the role
The Accounts Payable Specialist will assist with invoicing and billing, as well as perform general accounting support to ensure accurate and timely goals are met aligning with ZincFive corporate objectives.
Responsibilities
- Accurately review, code, and process vendor invoices
- Ensure invoices are approved by supervisor and the appropriate backup is obtained
- Verify new vendors in the accounting system
- Maintain vendor profiles to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Perform data entry associated with accounts payable
- Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies
- Assist with audits related to accounts payable, customer support, and shipping
- Maintain files and documentation
- Address and respond in a timely and professional manner to all vendor and employee inquiries
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy, leveraging technology and automation tools
- Assist with the administrative needs of the accounting department
- Foster strong interdepartmental collaboration to enhance responsive customer service, timely issue resolution, streamline processes, and support shared business goals
- Perform special projects as needed
Requirements
- An associate’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience
- 3+ years’ experience with accounts payable or general accounting
- Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge and skills
- Strong time management, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SAP ERP systems or similar
- Experience with SAP Concur
Pay
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.
