Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that supports the independently incorporated Planned Parenthood affiliates operating health centers across the U.S. The Procurement team within the Finance Division provides enterprise-wide procurement operations, contract lifecycle management, supplier lifecycle management, and accounts-payable services that enable PPFA to advance its mission with fiscal discipline and stakeholder-centric support.

This is a cycle hire position with a duration of 6-12 months.

About the Role

The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for managing the financial and administrative responsibilities related to paying suppliers and vendors. This role requires a well-organized individual with strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently. The role works closely with all departments throughout the organization and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the entire accounts payable process
• Ensure timely processing of invoices and payments
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers
• Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports
• Implement and monitor internal controls over accounts payable
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Supervise and provide guidance to accounts payable team members
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes
• Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation
• Manage the accounts payable ledger and ensure accuracy of data
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations
• Handle escalated inquiries from vendors and internal staff
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required along with some experience in Finance
• 5+ years of experience in accounts payable or related field
• Proven leadership and supervisory experience
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• CPA or CMA certification
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and other financial software
• Experience with process improvement methodologies
• Proven track record in vendor management and negotiations
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information

Pay

$90,000 - $95,000 a year

Travel
