Accounts Payable Clerk

Location: Leesburg, VA (Hybrid)

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, proactive individual who can manage transactions, collaborate with vendors, and take ownership of their work in a fast-paced environment. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you’ll play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting vendor relationships, and ensuring payments are processed seamlessly.

Responsibilities

• Process and verify vendor invoices accurately and on time
• Prepare and execute payment runs in accordance with company policies
• Maintain and reconcile accounts payable ledger accounts
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies, payment issues, and vendor inquiries
• Communicate with vendors and internal teams to ensure smooth operations
• Perform basic analyses and reconciliations of payables activity to identify errors or irregularities
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and transaction verification procedures
• Support occasional billing activities and respond to related questions
• Keep financial records organized, accurate, and up to date

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree OR high school diploma + 2 years of relevant experience
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Clear communication skills and a professional approach to vendor interactions
• Comfort working independently and taking ownership of day-to-day responsibilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting systems is a plus

Pay

The typical pay range for this position is $60,000 – $67,000 annually, with potential for bonuses and incentives plus benefits. Pay is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and performance.
