Accounts Payable Clerk

About the role

The Long Products Division, Steel of West Virginia, has an opening for an Accounts Payable Clerk. The Role We Are Filling:

• As we continue to grow, we have an immediate need for an Accounts Payable Clerk.
• The Accounts Payable Clerk / Accountant will be responsible for all aspects of the accounts payable function for multiple production locations including entering invoices into dual databases, issuing checks, month-end accruals and various excel spreadsheets.
• This position will also be responsible for all scrap purchases and scrap inventory reconciliation within the SAI scrap software system.
• This position will prepare various month end journal entries and various other daily, weekly and monthly activities.
• Additional duties will include support for payroll and cash management and tracking.

Responsibilities

• 1-3 Years Accounts Payable Experience (a plus)
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (required)
• Experience in AS400 (a plus)
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Business and accounting related education (a plus)
