Responsibilities
- Research current customer accounts, historical data, source documents, etc., to develop and explain detailed information not otherwise readily available.
- Research accounting and financial data and perform balancing and reconciling of accounts.
- Afford assistance in implementing and maintaining Internal Control Program requirements to protect against waste, fraud, and abuse.
- Process all types of accounting and financial transactions and requests for reimbursement.
- Verify the accuracy, completeness, and validity of a wide variety of accounting and financial functions/transactions to compute and disburse payments.
Requirements
- Minimum Education Level: High School Diploma/GED
- Experience Required: 1 year
- Conditions of Employment: This position requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Suitable for Federal Employment Registered for Selective Service (males born after 12-31-1959)
- Special Certification: Must obtain and maintain a Level 1 Certification under the DoD Financial Management (FM) Certification Program.
- Physical Presence: Incumbent must be physically on-site full-time, regular telework is not authorized for this position.
Qualifications
- Generalized Experience: One (1) year of progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled.
- Specialized Experience: One (1) year of Specialized Experience equivalent to the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service, performing duties that support the processing of financial/accounting transactions using standardized procedures that may include reviewing financial/accounting systems information/documents for accuracy/completeness, inputting financial/accounting information into automated systems, or correcting invalid financial/accounting transactions.
