Accounting Technician
About the role
The Accounting Technician position supports the accounting department by performing advanced accounting support, bookkeeping, and statistical reporting activities. Duties include processing accounts payable and receivable, posting financial transactions to an automated accounting system, researching and auditing claims for accuracy and completeness, balancing statements, and producing fiscal reports. Additionally, the position may involve assisting in the development and implementation of an account records system and an automated system.

Requirements
- Experience: Two (2) years full-time work experience as an Accounting Clerk II or Accounting Clerk III, or equivalent
- Education/Training: One (1) of the following: A.A. in Business Administration, A.S. in Accounting, or a total of sixty (60) semester or ninety (90) quarter units from an accredited college; 6 semester or 9 quarter units must be in principles of accounting
