Responsibilities

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting processes in coordination with accounting and finance teams.
  • Review financial data, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules to help ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal policies and applicable accounting standards.
  • Support accounting analysis for new transactions, intercompany matters, and other business activities by gathering relevant information for reporting and compliance purposes.
  • Manage U.S. federal and state corporate tax compliance by coordinating with external tax advisors on tax return preparation, filings, notices, tax planning matters, and regulatory updates.
  • Aid in tax provision calculations and financial statement tax disclosures in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Maintain the company’s ICFR framework, including control documentation, testing, and remediation follow-up, to help ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Cover ICFR audit activities, including walkthroughs, documentation requests, testing support, and follow-up on auditor comments.
  • Identify control gaps, monitor relevant accounting and regulatory developments, and support process improvements to strengthen the overall control environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in corporate tax, accounting, internal audit, or internal controls.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, corporate tax regulations, and internal control frameworks.
  • Experience working with external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams and auditors.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English (reading, speaking, and writing) preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP is a plus.
  • Advanced degree and/or CPA preferred.
  • Additional tax certifications (e.g., CMI, JD) preferred.
