Accounting Supervisor
About the role
We are seeking a dynamic, high-energy Accounting Supervisor to lead our day-to-day accounting operations. This is an exceptional opportunity for an established supervisor or a strong, ambitious Senior Accountant who is ready to take the next step in their career and step into a formal leadership role.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and guide daily activities of the accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Financial Oversight: Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- General Ledger & Reconciliations: Review journal entries, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet accounts.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows, implement best practices, and enhance internal controls.
- Audit & Compliance: Assist with internal/external audit preparation and ensure compliance with GAAP.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional department heads to provide financial insights and support business objectives.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years of supervising staff.
Leadership Track Record: Proven ability or strong aptitude to lead, motivate, and develop a team.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and experience with mainstream ERP accounting systems.
Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a knack for translating complex financial data into actionable insights.
Attributes: High level of integrity, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive, "lead-by-example" mindset.
Pay
$105,000.00 - $110,000.00
Schedule
M-F 8-5pm
