Team members enjoy a positive workplace where communication, teamwork, and continuous improvement are highly valued.About the RoleThe Accounting Specialist is responsible for supporting the company's day-to-day accounting operations, with a primary focus on Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), reconciliations, cash applications, and vendor communication. This remote position requires a detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple accounting processes while maintaining accuracy and providing excellent customer service to internal teams and external vendors.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate aging reports and communicate with vendors regarding outstanding balances.Verify and categorize Accounts Receivable (AR) invoice dates.Perform AR reconciliations between internal accounting records and third-party logistics (3PL) statements.Complete Accounts Payable (AP) reconciliations and resolve discrepancies with vendors.Process customer cash applications accurately and timely.Prepare vendor payments in accordance with company procedures.Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve accounting issues.Support accounting operations while working effectively in a remote environment.Qualifications & RequirementsRequired QualificationsPrevious experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).Strong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent customer service skills for vendor and internal stakeholder communication.Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.Tech-savvy with the ability to learn and use accounting software efficiently.Preferred QualificationsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including IF functions, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and Pivot Tables.Experience performing financial reconciliations.Experience working with third-party logistics (3PL) statements is a plus.Why JoinCompetitive salary of $41,000–$52,000.Fully remote work opportunity.Company-provided laptop (no personal equipment required).Friendly, collaborative, and supportive team culture.Opportunity to expand accounting skills in a growing organization.Professional development and valuable hands-on accounting experience.Equal Opportunity EmployerEqual Opportunity Employer: CFS and its client are committed to creating a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace where everyone is treated with respect and fairness.
