Accounting Specialist

About the role

Sunbelt Rentals—the fastest growing rental business in North America—is seeking an Accounting Specialist. As an Accounting Specialist, you will perform account reconciliations, monthly journal entries, assist with monthly close, and other special projects.

Responsibilities

• Monthly general ledger account reconciliations
• Monthly journal entries
• Assist with answering questions from the Profit Centers
• Process asset-related transactions, accruals, and disposals
• Maintain accuracy of the Equipment Master file and Lot files
• Document procedures and provide backup to management accounting assumptions
• Perform other duties assigned by the manager

Requirements

• College-level Accounting courses or equivalent experience (minimum 2 years of general accounting experience including journal entries)
• 2+ years of experience in this field
• Strong Excel, email, journal entry, and general ledger skills (Experience with Access is a plus, but not required)
• Exposure to AS400 computer systems
• Ability to multi-task

Qualifications

The physical demands of this role require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job.

Pay

Base Pay Range: $24.05 - $33.06. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
