Accounting Specialist II

About the role

The Accounting Specialist II (Accounts Payable) supports our finance team by processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and ensuring timely payments.

Responsibilities

• Review and process invoices for accuracy and proper approvals.
• Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts.
• Prepare and execute check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
• Reconcile vendor statements and address discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounts payable records.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues.
• Assist with month-end closing and provide support for audits.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; associate’s degree in accounting or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience in accounts payable or similar role.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and large ERP software packages (Oracle preferred).
• Detail oriented.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.

Work Environment

This role operates in both a professional office environment and a manufacturing environment. The employee may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. Occasional exposure to extreme plant conditions and loud noise levels may occur. The position requires frequent sitting, standing, talking, and communicating, as well as the ability to lift, bend, or stoop up to 50 lbs.

Nominal travel may be required.
