Accounting Specialist / Bookkeeper
Position Overview
The Muransky Companies is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Specialist / Bookkeeper to support our centralized accounting and finance team in Boardman, Ohio. This position offers a flexible schedule and may be structured as either a 32-hour part-time role or a full-time position depending on the qualifications and availability of the selected candidate.
Key Job Duties And Responsibilities
Support month-end and year-end financial statement closing processes and management reporting for multiple affiliated business entities.
Prepare and post month-end and year-end journal entries.
Perform monthly reconciliations for various general ledger accounts, including corporate bank accounts.
Track fixed asset purchases, additions, and disposals for assigned business entities.
Aid with annual 1099 preparation and reporting requirements.
Support management with special projects, audits, census reporting, and other accounting initiatives.
Qualifications And Requirements
Minimum of five (5) years of bookkeeping, accounting, or related financial experience.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
Proficient with corporate accounting software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel including formulas, pivot tables, and financial data analysis.
Strong understanding of general ledger accounting principles, account reconciliations, and month-end close procedures.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage records across multiple corporate entities.
