Accounting Specialist

Under the leadership of the Office Manager, this role performs a variety of accounting and administrative duties to support the dealership's financial operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions while maintaining compliance with company policies, manufacturer requirements, and GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Post and process accounting transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Reconcile assigned general ledger and bank accounts, researching and resolving discrepancies as needed.
• Prepare and maintain account reconciliations and supporting documentation for management review.
• Communicate professionally with accounting personnel, other departments, vendors, financial institutions, and other external parties to resolve accounting-related issues.
• Cross-train and provide backup support for other accounting functions as needed.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• 2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Excellent typing skills, proficient in 10-key by touch.
• Able to handle a high volume of transactions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Microsoft Outlook.

Working Conditions

May involve occasional overtime during peak periods such as month-end or year-end closings.
