Accounting Specialist
Responsibilities
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, ensuring invoices, billing records, and payments are processed accurately and on time.
- Reconcile account balances and investigate discrepancies to maintain dependable and up-to-date financial information.
- Record financial transactions and prepare journal entries to support accurate general ledger activity.
- Maintain organized accounting documentation and update financial records through consistent and precise data entry.
- Assist with routine reporting by compiling account details, payment activity, and supporting financial data for review.
- Monitor invoice status and payment timelines while coordinating with internal stakeholders to resolve outstanding issues.
- Support daily accounting operations by reviewing transactions for completeness, accuracy, and proper classification.
Requirements
- Experience working in accounting support, bookkeeping, or staff accounting functions.
- Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation practices.
- Ability to prepare journal entries and work within general ledger processes.
- Familiarity with corporate tax, sales tax, and related financial documentation.
- Understanding of corporate tax return support activities and associated recordkeeping requirements.
- Strong data entry accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in reviewing financial records and handling multiple accounting tasks within deadlines.
