About the role
As an Accounting Specialist, you will have a blend of general accounting activities along with a variety of financial analyst responsibilities. This position will be an equal split of accounting and analytical activities. pc/nametag is looking for a positive, self-driven, detail-oriented and collaborative individual to join our team.
Responsibilities
Day to Day Support (70%)
- Accounts receivable activities, inclusive of handling customer requests regarding payment and billing issues, processing refund checks, review of credit holds, and recording return authorizations.
- Accounts payable activities, inclusive of reviewing and processing of vendor invoices, and management of payment runs.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Sales tax reconciliations and customer support
- Contract record retention
Analytical Support (30%)
- Ownership of the P&L to support month end financial completion (reconciliations, journal entries, P&L reviews)
- Involvement in the annual planning process
- Systems testing to ensure flow through the financials is accurate.
- Partner with the Controller to deepen your understanding of the business and strengthen your skills.
- Special projects as needed.
Requirements
- Associates degree in accounting
- 2+ years of experience in an accounting environment
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to follow defined processes on day-to-day support activities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
