Accounting Specialist

What You’ll Do

• Analyze & Reconcile – Prepare journal entries, perform complex reconciliations, and ensure general ledger accuracy.
• Report & Support – Assist with financial reporting, audits, NCUA call reports, and regulatory requirements.
• Review & Improve – Identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities to strengthen processes and controls.
• Cook & Collaborate – Partner with the Accounting Manager and team to keep workflows on track and meet deadlines.
• Guide & Share Knowledge – Serve as a technical resource, supporting team members with training, troubleshooting, and best practices.
• Process & Maintain – Handle wires, investments, and accounting system updates with precision and care.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Effective communication and collaboration across teams.
• Confidence working independently and exercising sound judgment.
• Experience with accounting systems, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive accounting or general ledger experience.
• Experience in a financial institution or with regulatory reporting (NCUA a plus).

Pay

Starting Pay: $50,353.41 / year

Schedule: Full-time, Exempt
