Accounting Specialist AP

About the role

Coordinate with the market, Nestlé Service Centers (NBS), and the accounting team to ensure compliance in the organization of the Source-to-Pay (S2P) process, regional Accounts Payable (AP) procedures, and guarantee supplier payments under negotiated terms and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the quality of accounting information for local and foreign suppliers, adhering to Accounts Payable Best Practices and Nestlé Accounting Standards (NAS). Supervise and validate the aging of accounts payable balances to ensure balance sheet integrity.
• Guarantee the correct Source-to-Pay (S2P) process and act as the contact point between buyers, Nestlé Service Centers (NBS), Accounts Payable (AP) market, maintaining clear and transparent communication through coordination of meetings to align criteria, review errors, and apply Accounts Payable Best Practices.
• Ensure the execution of supplier statement reconciliations according to the established cycle (by market or NBS as applicable).
• Support the implementation of new continuous improvement processes in markets.
• Process NBS tickets requested by the market after review and approval.
• Provide strong support/intervention in the market to resolve any issues and escalations related to invoice processing.
• Support escalations for master data of Accounts Payable (AP) suppliers.
• Participate in workflow review meetings with the market, following up on actions.
• Assist in gathering information required by external audits, provide status updates on requirements, and ensure all information is delivered on time.
• Ensure compliance with Accounts Payable (AP) policies and procedures, as well as those associated with the Source-to-Pay (S2P) process.
• Ensure internal control processes are followed and provide required information for internal control audits and group audits.

Requirements

• Accounting standards knowledge.
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting, Auditing, Business Administration, or related fields.
• Advanced English.
• Advanced Excel.
• Problem-solving skills, initiative, and results-focused.
