About the role
The Accounting Service Desk Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the firm’s strategic initiatives by handling inquiries from billers, attorneys, and clients regarding accounting and billing matters. This role demands a high degree of accuracy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage sensitive information discreetly.
Responsibilities
- Inquiry Management: Promptly and accurately assess, resolve, or refer inquiries from billers, attorneys, and clients.
- Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with all stakeholders, providing timely updates and accurate information.
- Documentation: Accurately document actions, questions, and resolutions in ServiceNow ticket system and email correspondence.
- Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues using available information and resources. Refer out-of-scope issues to the appropriate resolver group.
- Compliance: Ensure all accounting practices comply with firm policies and relevant legal regulations.
- Training: Participate in training activities to achieve proficiency and support operations efficiently.
- Continuous Improvement: Maintain expertise and increase knowledge through learning and documentation.
- Customer Service: Maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions, treating clients with respect and confidentiality.
- Build Trust: Establish and maintain trust through transparency, reliability, and consistent service delivery.
Requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Competence in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel proficiency with filters and pivot tables, and Word proficiency with headers, footers, and numbering.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- PREFERRED: Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of accounting or billing experience for a law or professional services organization.
- Experience with Aderant is required, and Chromeriver or Kofax is preferred.

Pay
$30.98 - $40.00 per hour, depending on the candidate’s geographic market location.
Schedule
This role offers a hybrid work schedule with working hours from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM Pacific time.
