About the Role
This position provides accounting support across Finance and Purchasing, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Cashier, and Purchasing/Receiving responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the Purchase Order system by receiving items in the system once confirmed on property.
- Contact vendors for missing or conflicting invoices related to received items.
- Assist with General Ledger research and re-class entries as required.
- Perform GL functions (entry creation, viewing entries, copy and print, run queries).
- Assist with Balance Sheet reconciliations as assigned.
- Prepare monthly journal entries as assigned.
- Assist with audit requests.
- Maintain open communication with all departments.
- Perform other duties requested by Purchasing Manager, Director of Finance, or other department leaders.
- Comply with all hotel policies and procedures and assist others with understanding and compliance.
- Verify shipments by comparing them with the Daily Order Sheet and invoice to ensure accuracy (quantity, price, quality, size, count, weight, expiration date).
- Fill daily requisitions for each department in a timely manner.
- Maintain daily sanitation in the dock area.
- Maintain security of dock and purchasing areas.
- Assist in conducting End-of-Month physical inventories across all property areas.
- Present a professional demeanor at all times, including appearance, communication, and conduct.
- Contribute positively to the work environment through teamwork and a constructive attitude.
- Adhere to scheduled work hours and follow procedures for early notification if unable to report to work.
- Arrive punctually and work until authorized to leave.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written formats.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to work AM/PM shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to handle repeated lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) with moderate Excel skills.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must pass a drug screen and MVR background check.
Working Environment
- Operates in both office and dock environments.
- Regularly required to sit, use hands, handle objects, and communicate.
- Frequently required to walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Requires close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception vision abilities.
- Exposure to all hotel areas, including coolers, freezers, kitchens, and general office spaces.

Pay
$23.00–$24.00/hour (based on experience).
