About the role

Oakhurst Country Club, located in Clayton, CA, is seeking a full-time Accounting / Membership Communications professional to join their team. This position is part of Troon, a global leader in golf and community management.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively and promptly respond to Club Members and prospective members regarding Club Membership, Club Dues, Rules & Regulations per club standards.
  • Follow up on all membership leads – including emails, phone calls, and walk-ins.
  • Greet and tour all Oakhurst CC prospective members and explain membership options or answer any questions they may have.
  • Perform New Member Orientations/On-Boarding, either individual or in a group, including a review of the Club rules and regulations and communicating any changes to the membership of the rules and regulations.
  • Maintain an accurate contact management system, including call records, database and activity management.
  • Prepare monthly membership reports for General Manager and Owners.
  • Maintain and develop strong relationships with current members to encourage participation in club events and maintain a high level of member satisfaction.
  • Effectively communicate with management staff and associates to increase knowledge of membership goals, satisfaction, retention, and activities.
  • Work closely with the accounting department to ensure all paperwork is completed for new and resigning members.
  • Prepares weekly and monthly newsletters for members from input given by each department.
  • Maintains the Oakhurst Country Club brand standards and works to execute strategies developed to improve the awareness of the Club and communications.
  • Manage the club’s social media activity, redirecting or replying to inquiries and messages on various platforms.
  • Create and distribute the club’s newsletter and any other large-scale email distribution.
  • Create and distribute various club event marketing pieces to the members through various channels.
  • Be a team player with the entire Oakhurst Country Club staff.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and be willing to assist the membership and the staff to provide the members with the highest quality of service.
  • Perform any other related tasks as requested by the General Manager.
  • Be present during club operating hours and events to assist in meeting and greeting members and guests.
  • Complete other appropriate assignments as instructed by the General Manager.

Requirements

  • Accounts payable experience required.
  • Social Media experience preferred.
