Duties And Responsibilities

• Aid in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for department heads and corporate leadership.
• Support the month-end closing process within a 4-day timeframe.
• Collaborate with department leaders to develop accurate financial forecasts.
• Analyze accounting data to generate financial reports and statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Review and approve journal entries while upholding strong internal control measures.
• Maintain the general ledger, tracking assets, liabilities, expenses, and revenues.
• Keep BS reconciliations current, including Tooling, CIP, and Fixed Assets.
• Involvement in the annual budgeting process and monitoring departmental and cost variances.
• Create and document business processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls.
• Liaison with external auditors during financial audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, offering training and conducting performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement or refine financial procedures.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Experience, Skills, Education and Abilities Required for Consideration as a Candidate

• At least 7 years of progressively relevant accounting/finance experience, including at least 2 years in supervisory or managerial roles.
• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• A solid grasp of accounting principles and practices.
• Experience with accounting software such as D-365, SAP, or Oracle.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and SUMIFS.
• Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• A high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong team leadership and management abilities.
• The ability to identify necessary information and conduct research.
• An analytical mindset and the capacity to meet deadlines.
• Strong mathematical and accounting skills.

Additional Education, Experience, Skills And Abilities Preferred

• Automotive industry experience is highly desirable.
